Christine Brew holds a Master’s degree in Communication, Media and Public Relations from the University of Leicester (United Kingdom). During her undergraduate studies in English and Spanish Linguistics at the University of Ghana, academic excellence brought her to Spain to further her studies in the Spanish language at the University of Complutense (Madrid). After completing a tourism and hospitality management course with her first Master’s degree at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Christine started her career in the World Tourism Organization in 1998 as a Programme Coordinator in the department of Sustainable Development of Tourism. She then moved on to the department of Asia and the Pacific in the year 2000, where she has been instrumental in the implementation of UNWTO’s programme of work for Asia and the Pacific region. She is in charge of all projects, tourism events and affairs related to East Asia and the Pacific.
