Cho Cho Mar
A hospitality professional with more than a decade of industry experience, Cho Cho Mar is passionate about fulfilling the satisfaction of the guest as well as helping enhance the culture and nature of Myanmar through tourism. Having acquired a solid background on hospitality (Front Office, Food and Beverage Service, Food Production, Finance and Human Resource) through her work in middle management positions in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Myanmar, Cho Cho is currently overseeing, as Training Manager, the implementation of the Hotel Training Initiative implemented by Swisscontact Myanmar since 2014
The Hotel Training Initiative’s objective is to facilitate an increase in skilled persons in the hospitality sector in Myanmar. It aims at training about 3,000 persons from disadvantaged backgrounds in selected hospitality occupations, coordinating with leading hotels in Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw, Bagan and Mandalay, as well as with the relevant industry associations in the sector. The first main phase of the Vocational Skill Development Program started in September 2014 and lasts until January 2018. The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism fully supports the HTI component and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Swisscontact in February 2015 for its implementation.
